Everything here is small, round and soft, and there is more of the soft than anywhere else: eighteen blankets and cushions, twenty-two things that hang from the ceiling, and sixty-two people and pairs, more than any other world has. Lay the rug, put the crib against the wall, hang the mobile, and let the plush animals gather.
Put the bunny in the crib and the bunny rides the crib. Move the crib afterwards and the blanket, the mobile and the bunny all go with it. Drop a basket behind the rocking chair and it settles behind, so the corner has depth instead of a line.
Tap the moon when it should be evening. The nightlight and the little lamps are real lights, and the room does what a nursery does at seven o'clock, which is get smaller and warmer around them.
Nothing counts, nothing is timed, and no one can wake the baby. Take a picture when it looks right and it goes in your book.
