Build the cave first, then the treasure, then the visit. The hoard is what this world has most of: twenty-five treasures and twenty-one small scatters, so the coins really do spill down the slope instead of sitting in a tidy pile. Twenty creatures live here too, a bat, a glowing beetle, the baby dragon asleep at the middle of it all.
Put the kettle on the cooking fire and it rides the fire. Move the fire later and the kettle and the plate of biscuits come along. Push a chest behind the armour and it stays behind, so the pile has a front and a back.
Then turn the night on, because this is the room that changes most. Four fires and thirteen lamps and torches are real lights: the middle of the cave goes warm and the edges go properly dark, which is the whole idea of a hoard.
Nothing can go wrong here and nothing runs out. You stop when the cave looks like a place a dragon would actually choose.
